- medium yams
- 3-in./8-cm

- honey

- melted butter

- lemon juice

- ground cinnamon

- pinch each ground cloves, ginger and nutmeg
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp
- finely chopped fresh parsley

Method
- Step 1
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Prick each (unpeeled) yam several times with a fork and set on parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Bake until just tender, about 1 hr. Cool until comfortable to handle. Slice yams into 1/2-in. (1-cm) thick rounds; set back on lined baking sheet.
- Step 2
- In bowl, mix honey, butter, lemon juice, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, nutmeg, salt and pepper. Brush on yams. (Make-Ahead: Yams can be prepared to this point several hours in advance and kept chilled until ready to bake).
- Step 3
- Bake yams, uncovered, 20 min., or until hot. Sprinkle with parsley to serve.
