peaches (not too ripe), thickly sliced

pears, thickly sliced

black plums, thickly sliced

halved strawberries

brown sugar

finely chopped fresh ginger

slices vanilla pound cake
½ cup
vanilla yogourt

Method

Step 1
Preheat barbecue to medium-high. In a bowl, stir together peaches, pears, plums, strawberries, brown sugar and ginger.
Step 2
Place a large sheet of double-thickness foil, greased, on grill. Lay fruit on top and cook, uncovered, for about 5 min. on each side, or until fruit is lightly caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 3
Place cake slices directly on grill rack and grill for about 1 min. on each side. Divide cake slices among 4 plates. Top with grilled fruit and vanilla yogurt.
