strawberries sliced

balsamic vinegar
15 mL
½ tsp
black pepper
2 mL
baguette, cut into ½” slices
1-2 tbsp
extra virgin olive oil
15-30 mL
1 cup
mascarpone cheese
250 mL
Drizzle of honey
1 tbsp
chopped hazelnuts
15 mL


Step 1

Preheat the oven to 220˚C (425˚F)

Step 2

In bowl, gently toss the strawberries, sugar, vinegar and pepper; set aside.

Step 3

Place baguette slices on baking sheet. Brush tops with oil. Bake until golden and crisp, about 4 min., check frequently to avoid scorching. Remove from oven; cool slightly.

Step 4

Spread bread with mascarpone. Top with strawberry mixture. Drizzle with a little leftover syrup from the bowl and honey. Sprinkle with hazelnuts. Serve immediately.
