Ingredients

head iceberg lettuce
1 jar
hoisin sauce
8.5 oz.
1/4 cup
soy sauce
1 package
ground turkey meat
1.25 lbs

carrots, peeled and diced into 1/4" pieces
1 can
water chestnuts, drained, diced into 1/4" pieces
8 oz.

green onions, washed, trimmed and chopped
black pepper, to taste

Method

Step 1
Carefully remove large outer leaves from lettuce head.
Step 2
Wash and pat dry about 8 lettuce leaves/cups. Set aside.
Step 3
Combine hoisin and soy sauces. Set aside.
Step 4
Brown ground turkey in a 12" non-stick skillet, about 2-3 minutes.
Step 5
Season with black pepper. Add carrots and water chestnuts.
Step 6
Continue cooking for 2-3 more minutes.
Step 7
Add hoisin and soy sauce, mix well and continue cooking until sauce is heated. Mix in green onions.
Step 8
Place one to two lettuce cups onto a plate.
Step 9
Scoop approximately 1/2 cup of filling into the center of the lettuce cup. Serve with chopped peanuts.
