Place meatballs on a lightly oiled or nonstick baking sheet. Bake until meatballs are browned and no longer pink in center (cut to test),15-20 minutes.

Meanwhile, in a 5 to 6-quart pan, combine onion, oil, and garlic overmedium high heat. Stir often until onion is lightly browned and softened, about 5 minutes. Add broth and bring mixture to a simmer.

When meatballs are done, use a spatula to gently transfer them into broth. Simmer gently for 3 to 4 minutes. Add peas and cook just untilpeas turn bright green, 1-2 minutes.
