- In a large bowl, combine turkey, cilantro, breadcrumbs, garlic, egg, chili powder, cumin, salt and pepper. Moisten hands with cold water and shape turkey mixture into four 3/4–in. (2-cm) thick patties.
- Preheat lightly oiled barbecue to medium-high. Place patties on grill; close lid and grill until cooked through, 4 to 6 min. per side.
- Serve immediately with your favourite condiments and buns.
To amp up these burgers even more, serve them with homemade spicy mayonnaise: Stir together 1/3 cup (75 mL) light mayonnaise, 1 tbsp (15 mL) each lime zest and juice, and 1 tsp (5 mL) each chili powder and hot sauce.
