Prep Time
Cooking Mode
Hit those grilled chicken wings with a hot honey bbq sauce and watch them fly off the plate. Peach salsa is highly recommended (and simple to whip together).

¼ cup minced jalapeno (1 to 2 peppers)
⅓ cup finely chopped cilantro
2 tbsp minced shallot (1 to 2 shallots)
2 limes, zested and juiced
2 tbsp honey
Directions
1Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Toss wings with 2 tbsp (30 mL) of olive oil and season with ¾ tsp (4 mL) salt and ¼ tsp (1 mL) pepper. Let the wings rest uncovered in the fridge for 30 min. to 1 hr. for better skin texture.
2Meanwhile, toss halved peaches with 1 tbsp (15 mL) of olive oil and season lightly. Grill over direct heat, 2 to 3 min. per side, until caramelized and lightly charred on both sides. Transfer to a clean bowl and set aside to cool.
3On clean, oiled grates, grill wings over indirect heat with the lid closed, 18 to 20 min., turning occasionally. Move to direct heat for the final 3 to 5 min., to crisp the skin and char wings lightly. Once chicken wings reach 165°F (74°C), transfer to a clean bowl, toss with Compliments Hot Honey BBQ Sauce and set aside to cool slightly.
4Finely dice the grilled peaches and combine in a mixing bowl with jalapeno, cilantro, shallot, lime zest, lime juice, honey, remaining 1 tbsp (15 mL) of olive oil. Season with remaining salt and pepper.
5Transfer wings to a platter and serve with salsa.
Tips
1
The peach salsa can be made ahead of time. As it sits, the flavours build and get even better!
