- Place brown sugar in medium heavy-bottomed saucepan. Pour in coffee and set over medium heat. Cook 12 to 15 min., without stirring, until sugar is fully dissolved and mixture is foamy. Remove from heat; stir in cream, butter and salt. Serve drizzled over desserts such as cakes and ice cream, if desired.
• For easy entertaining, make sauce ahead and reheat before serving. Sauce once cooled completely, can be stored in airtight container in fridge for up to 2 weeks.
• Also try drizzling the sauce over whipped cream on desserts, hot chocolate or coffees.
