1 cup packed fresh basil leaves
¼ cup Italian parsley
2 tbsp chopped Compliments Organic Oregano
3 tbsp Compliments White Wine Vinegar
Salt and freshly ground pepper
2 ¼ - 2 1/2 pounds Bone-in New York Strip Steak
Directions
1Prepare a charcoal or gas barbecue grill for medium-high heat.
2While grill heats, combine 1/3 cup oil, basil, parsley, oregano, and vinegar in a food processor or blender. Whirl until smooth. Season to taste with salt and pepper; set aside.
3When grill is hot, evenly brush steaks with remaining olive oil and season to taste with salt and pepper.
4Place steaks on grill and cook, turning occasionally, until meat is done to your liking (cut to test), 12-15 minutes for rare.
5Transfer meat to a serving platter and let stand a few minutes.
6Cut steaks off bone then cut crosswise into thin slices. Divide meat among individual plates.
7Pour herb sauce into small bowls for individual dipping, or allow diners to spoon sauce over meat to taste.
