Knowing where your seafood comes from is the cornerstone of what Authentic Indigenous Seafood does. A type of collective, they collaborate with B.C. Indigenous-owned fisheries that focus on sustainably-sourced seafood.

BC Fresh
BC Fresh is driven by a passion for quality, which is showcased in their local grower collective. Founded in 1992, they are proudly 100% grower-owned and offer a way for local growers to pack and grade their produce themselves. Some of their farmers include Chilliwack’s Shadow Farmers, Canadian Growers based in Cloverdale, Emma Lee Farms from Delta, Spranger Farms based in Surrey, and more.

Bergen Farms
Bergen Farms is family owned and was established in 1979 by Jake Bergen. It started with only 1.5 acres of raspberries and has since grown to over 300 acres of select berries. Located in Abbotsford and Qualicum B.C, they have developed a picking schedule where each berry is harvested at its optimum time to ensure quality taste. They are brought directly from the field to a cooling facility to preserve their freshness and quality.

Sandher Fruit
For nearly four decades, the Sandher family has been proudly supplying fresh apples and cherries to British Columbia’s interior region and beyond. The journey began when the Sandher brothers arrived in B.C. in 1987 and leased their first orchard just two years later. When the orchard failed to meet its potential, they considered leaving agriculture behind. But in 1995, William Sandher took a chance and replanted the trees, transforming it into a thriving apple and cherry orchard. Today, the Sandher family remains driven by a commitment to quality - nurturing, harvesting, packing, and shipping their products to communities across Canada.

Mitsoh
Mitsoh, meaning “to eat” in Cree, is on a mission to restore, preserve, and share Indigenous culture through food. Their Pemmican, a mixture of dried meat, rendered fat, and dried fruit, is crafted using simple, natural ingredients: bison, berries, maple syrup, salt, pepper, and smoke. More than just a snack it is a connection to their history.

Rviita Energy Tea
Rviita Energy Tea was born in Calgary and founded by sibling duo Mitch and Karly Jacobsen. Their energizing drinks combine caffeine from tea, organic honey, fruit juice, and essential vitamins—crafted to fuel focus and boost productivity. Proudly made in Alberta, Rviita is more than just a family business; it's a mission-driven brand committed to creating positive impact and supporting opportunities in the local community.

Crave Cupcakes & Cookies
For over 20 years, founders Carolyne and Jodi have been proudly sharing their handcrafted treats with Canadians from coast to coast. Raised in High River, Alberta, they learned the art of baking from the matriarchs in their family, lessons that inspired the heart of Crave Cupcakes & Cookies. Their bake-at-home line was created to bring the joy of scratch baking into everyday kitchens, making it easy and accessible. As a locally owned business, Crave stays true to its roots, using real, premium ingredients with no added preservatives—just the way Canadians like it.

The Stak Co.
Manitoba grown, The Stak Co. offers pulse, dry edible seeds of the legume family, packets to make fresh soup. Their line of products include chili, tortilla soup, pea soup, and more, they are rooted in tradition and each is packaged without the use of preservatives and additives. They offer vegan and gluten-free options.

Farmery Estate Brewing Company
Farmery Estate Brewing Company proudly embraces its Canadian roots as a locally founded and owned business. Based in Neepawa, Manitoba, it sets itself apart as a unique farm-to-table brewery. The heart of the operation is the family farm, where they grow their own barley and hops to craft a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Dedicated to their community, Farmery contributes through job creation, local partnerships, and meaningful economic investment.
Saskatchewan

nikihk
Starting out of a need for cleaning and sanitation supplies during COVID-19, nikihk supplies communities across Treaty 6 with products for kitchen, laundry, and bathroom care. Based in Saskatoon, their products are plant-based that celebrate a unique and traditional relationship with plants and the Cree language.

Monette Farms
Based in Saskatchewan, Monette Farms added potatoes and vegetables to their crop rotation in 2023. Partnering with Dan and Chelsea Erlandson of Spring Garden, their farm is deeply rooted in Saskatchewan growing practices to create quality sustainable crops. Their commitment to locally grown ingredients runs deep—they georeference and track every stage of the process, from the seeds they plant to crop harvesting, transportation, storage, and even marketing.

Sweet Nutrition
Sweet Nutrition was founded in 2018 by Austin Calladine and Casey Parker in Saskatchewan, with their first batches baked by Austin’s own grandmother in Saskatoon. Since then, the company has grown, crafting a variety of protein-packed, zero-sugar cookies in delicious flavours like chocolate peanut butter, milk chocolate chip, and strawberry cheesecake. Today, Sweet Nutrition’s cookies can be found across Western Canada.

Birch Bark Coffee
Owner Mark Marsolais-Nahwegahbow ensures that the coffee at Birch Bark Coffee is roasted with purpose and guided by tradition. Their blends are thoroughly crafted to honour the unique characteristics of its origins. Plus, every bag sold supports the Birch Bark Foundation Fund, that supports infrastructure, education, and drinking water in Indigenous communities across Canada.

Three Fire Foods
Specializing in marinades and rubs, Three Fire Foods’ recipes are infused with generations of culinary tradition. The name honours the Ojibway, Pottawatomie and Odawa Peoples, known collectively as the Three Fires Confederacy. Rooted in the traditions of hunting, fishing and foraging, their marinades are made with locally harvested spices that helps create a bold flavour.

Windy Shores
Owned by Kyle Allan, Windy Shores Cafe , centres on providing quality refreshments and a relaxed atmosphere. Their line of sparkling waters, or “Sparklers” comes in a variety of flavours including green apple, lemon, raspberry, and peach.
