Total Time: 1 hour 40 minutes

  1. 3 medium yams (about 3-in./8-cm diameter each)
  2. 3 tbsp (45 mL) honey
  3. 3 tbsp (45 mL) melted butter
  4. 2 tbsp (30 mL) lemon juice
  5. 1/4 tsp (1 mL) ground cinnamon
  6. pinch each ground cloves, ginger and nutmeg
  7. salt and pepper to taste
  8. 1 tbsp (15 mL) finely chopped fresh parsley

  2. In bowl, mix honey, butter, lemon juice, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, nutmeg, salt and pepper. Brush on yams. (Make-Ahead: Yams can be prepared to this point several hours in advance and kept chilled until ready to bake).
  3. Bake yams, uncovered, 20 min., or until hot. Sprinkle with parsley to serve.
