- Stir melted butter with sage, paprika, garlic powder, mustard powder, salt and pepper. Rub over chicken.
- Place onions and broth in bottom of slow cooker. Set chicken over top, breast-side up. Cover and cook on HIGH for 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hr., or until chicken reaches 165°F (74°C) in thickest part of thigh. Serve chicken with onions.
Tip: Substitute sage with 2 tsp (10 mL) chopped fresh thyme.
