Shrimp Tacos

Ingredients

  1. 1 tbsp vegetable oil (15 mL)
  2. 1 pkg frozen, uncooked Shrimp (51/60 ct), thawed and peeled (340 g)
  3. 1/2 tsp ground cumin (2 mL)
  4. 1 clove garlic, minced
  5. 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper (1 mL)
  6. 2 cups Broccoli Slaw (500 mL)
  7. 1/4 cup loosely packed cilantro ([optional] (60 mL)
  8. 1 tbsp fresh lime juice (15 mL)
  9. 1/2 tsp Louisiana Hot Sauce (2 mL)
  10. 8 hard taco shells

Method

  1. Heat a large nonstick wok or skillet over high heat. Add oil and heat until almost smoking. Add shrimp, cumin, garlic, salt and pepper; toss until shrimp turn pink, about 2 min.
  2. Add broccoli slaw, cilantro (if using), lime juice and hot sauce; cook for 2 min. or until warmed through; remove from heat. Divide shrimp and broccoli slaw among warm taco shells.
