Barbequed Extra Meaty Pork Back Ribs

Ingredients

  1. 6 1/2 pounds Sensations BBQ Pork Back Ribs
  2. 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  3. 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  4. 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  5. 2 tablespoons salt
  6. 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  1. 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  2. 2 tablespoons Compliments Worcestershire sauce
  3. 2 tablespoons Compliments sodium reduced soya sauce
  4. 2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar
  5. 1/2 cup steak sauce
  6. 3 tablespoons white wine
  7. 2 cloves crushed garlic
  8. 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  9. 8 tablespoons plum sauce
  10. 1 12 oz. bottle honey
  11. 3 tablespoons molasses

Method

  1. Place ribs in a large pot, cover with water and add thyme, oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper. 
  2. Bring to a boil and simmer for 40 minutes.
  3. Pre-heat barbeque grill to high. 
  4. Remove pot of ribs from heat and either let stand until ready to barbecue or cook immediately.
  5. While ribs are boiling, mix together the sauce ingredients and blend well.
  6. Remove ribs from liquid and brush both sides with the sauce. 
  7. If possible barbecue the ribs 6 to 8 inches from the coals for 15-20 minutes or until brown and crisp, basting ribs frequently with the sauce. 
  8. When done, serve with remaining sauce.
