Green Marshmallow Slime Popcorn

  1. 1/4 cup (60 mL) butter
  2. 1 pkg (250 g) mini marshmallows (about 5 cups/1.25 L)
  3. 1 tbsp (15 mL) vanilla extract
  4. 2 tsp (10 mL) green food colouring
  5. 8 cups (2 L) plain popped popcorn
  6. 16 lollipop sticks, optional


  1. Melt butter in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows. Stir 7 to 8 min. until completely melted. Mix in vanilla and green food colouring. Remove from heat. Immediately stir in popcorn until coated. 
  2. Method 1: Using wet hands or buttered spatula, spread popcorn mixture onto parchment lined-baking sheet into slab about 1-in. (2.5 cm) thick. Bake at 350°F (180°C) 5 min.; cool completely. Break into smaller pieces for serving.
  3. Method 2: Cool popcorn mixture slightly. Using wet hands, working quickly, shape popcorn into 16 balls. Insert a lollipop stick into each ball. 

Tip: Food colouring gels will produce even more intense green colour.
