Mexican Style Chocolate Fondue

  1. 4 oz (125 g) Sensations 72% Cocoa Baking Chocolate, finely chopped
  2. 1/2 cup (125 mL) milk
  3. 1/2 tsp (2 mL) vanilla extract
  4. 1/4 tsp (1 mL) ground cinnamon
  5. pinch each cayenne and salt
  6. 2 tsp (10 mL) toasted sesame seeds


  1. Combine chocolate, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, cayenne and sea salt in double boiler set over barely simmering water. Cook, stirring occasionally, 5 to 8 min. until chocolate is melted and smooth. Transfer to fondue pot; keep warm over low heat. 
  2. Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve with Compliments Shortcake Cookies for dipping, if desired.

  1. Alternatively, dip chopped fruit such as strawberries, mango, banana or pineapple.
  2. Gently reheat any leftover fondue and serve over ice cream.
