Ingredients

maple syrup

brown sugar

finely chopped fresh thyme

centre-cut skin-on salmon fillets (about 5 oz/150 g each)

thin slices lemon

cedar plank, soaked according to package directions

Method

Step 1

In small bowl, stir together maple syrup, brown sugar, thyme, salt and pepper.

Step 2

Place salmon skin-side down on cedar plank and brush with maple glaze. Arrange lemon slices on top of salmon.

Step 3

Preheat grill to medium-high; grease grate well. Close lid and grill for 15 to 17 minutes or until salmon flakes when tested with fork and flesh is opaque. Serve immediately.
