Maple Glazed Scallops

Ingredients

  1. 16 medium scallops
  2. 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  3. 1/4 tsp pepper
  4. 1 tsp salt
  5. 1 tsp vegetable oil
  6. 1 tsp butter

Method


  1. In a bowl, combine scallops, maple syrup and pepper. Cover and marinate in refrigerator 1 hour.
  2. Remove scallops from marinade and season with salt.
  3. Heat oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. When butter is sizzling, sear scallops until cooked through, 1 to 2 min. per side. Serve hot or cold.
