Ingredients

  • 3 oz (90 g) cellar-aged Gruyère cheese, cut into sixteen equal pieces
  • 8 slices Sensations by Compliments Sliced Serrano Ham, each cut in half
  • 16 pitted green olives
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) olive oil
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) sherry vinegar
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) finely chopped fresh thyme
  • 2 tsp (10 mL) honey
  • pinch salt
  • 16 cocktail skewers

Method

  1. Onto each skewer, thread 1 piece of cheese, half slice of ham (it can be folded) and an olive. Make 16 skewers. Arrange on serving platter. Whisk together oil, sherry vinegar, thyme, honey and salt. Drizzle dressing over skewers.

Tips:
• Sprinkle skewers with sliced almonds.
• Substitute sherry vinegar with balsamic, white wine or red wine vinegar.
