Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250 mL) roughly chopped kale leaves, stems removed
  • 1 cup (250 mL) Compliments Organic Baby Spinach
  • 1 cup (250 mL) frozen Compliments Mango Mania or other frozen fruit
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) apple juice
  • 1/2 cup (125 mL) blueberry juice
  • 1 ripe banana, peeled and cut into four
  • 1/2 ripe avocado, peeled, halved and pit removed
  • 2 tsp (10 mL) grated fresh ginger
  • 1 cup cold water

Method

  1. In a blender, add kale, spinach, frozen mango (or other frozen fruit), apple juice, blueberry juice, banana, avocado and ginger. Top with 1 cup (250 mL) cold water. Blend on low speed until puréed. Blend on high speed until smooth and creamy, 3 to 4 minutes. Pour into glasses to serve.
