Ingredients

frozen Compliments Mango Mania or other frozen fruit, divided
300 mL
1 cup
roughly chopped kale leaves, stems removed
250 mL
1 cup
Compliments Organic Baby Spinach
250 mL
1 cup
apple juice
250 mL

ripe bananas, peeled and divided
½
ripe avocado, peeled, halved and pit removed
2 tsp
grated fresh ginger
10 mL
¼ cup
blueberries
60 mL
2 tbsp
sliced almonds, toasted
30 mL
2 tbsp
chia seeds
30 mL

Method

Step 1
In a blender add 1 cup (250 mL) frozen mango, kale, spinach, apple juice, 1 banana, avocado and ginger. Top with 1 cup (250 mL) cold water. Blend for 1 to 2 min on high speed or until smooth and creamy.
Step 2
Meanwhile, slice remaining banana. Place remaining mango under cold, running water until softened. Chop into smaller pieces.
Step 3
Pour smoothie into 4 bowls. Top evenly with banana slices, mango, blueberries, almonds and chia seeds.
