Sticky Honey-Sriracha Grilled Drumsticks

  1. 1/3 cup (75 mL) canola oil
  2. 1/4 cup (60 mL) soy sauce
  3. 1/4 cup (60 mL) honey
  4. 3 tbsp (45 mL) sriracha hot sauce
  5. 2 tbsp (30 mL) sesame oil
  6. 2 tbsp (30 mL) grated fresh gingerroot
  7. 4 cloves garlic, minced
  8. 8 chicken drumsticks (about 2 lb/1 kg)
  9. 4 heads baby bok choy, halved lengthwise
  10. 2 red peppers, quartered and seeded


  1. In large bowl, mix together canola oil, soy sauce, honey, hot sauce, sesame oil, ginger and garlic; divide mixture into 3 portions. Toss 1 portion of soy sauce mixture with chicken until coated and 1 portion of mixture with bok choy and red peppers.
  2. Preheat grill to medium-high; grease grate well. Grill chicken, turning occasionally and basting with remaining portion of soy sauce mixture, for 20 to 25 minutes or until cooked through and internal temperature registers 165°F (74°C).
  3. Meanwhile, grill bok choy and red peppers for 5 to 7 minutes or until grill-marked and tender. Serve with chicken.

Tip: Serve with lime wedges and garnish with green onions if desired.

Tip: Reduce grill temperature to medium if flare-ups occur.
