  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Sensations Extra Virgin 100% Olive Oil
  • 11/4 pounds ground turkey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
  • 2 teaspoons Compliments Chili Powder
  • 11/2 cups Compliments Chicken Broth
  • 2-3 tablespoons prepared mole paste (add to taste)
  • 2 cans (15 ounces each) Compliments Pinto Beans, rinsed and drained
  • Lucerne® Sour Cream
  • chopped green onions


  1. In a 12-inch nonstick frying pan, combine onion and oil over medium high heat. Stir often until lightly browned, 5-6 minutes. 
  2. Add turkey, garlic, and chili powder to pan. Stir often, breaking meat up as it cooks, until meat is well browned, about 4 minutes. Add broth and mole paste. Whisk paste into broth as it heats until it is completely dissolved. 
  3. Stir in beans, then cover pan and simmer, stirring occasionally, until heated through, 3-4 minutes.
  4. Spoon chili into bowls to serve. Offer sour cream and onions to add to taste.

Healthier Alternative: Watching your sodium intake? Use reduced sodium chicken broth and reduced sodium pinto beans. You can also use Lucerne® Light Sour Cream to cut out a bit of fat.
