Blueberry and Lemonade Slushy

Ingredients

  1. 2 tbsp (30 mL) sugar
  2. 1 lemon wedge + 2 tbsp (30 mL) fresh lemon zest
  1. 2 1/2 cups (625 mL) lemonade
  2. 1 cup (250 mL) fresh blueberries
  3. 1 cup (250 mL) ice
  4. 1 tbsp (15 mL) liquid honey
  5. 4 fresh basil leaves

Method

  1. Combine sugar and lemon zest on a small plate. Moisten the rim of 4 glasses with lemon wedge and dip in sugar mixture to coat. Set aside.
  2. Combine slushy ingredients in a blender, blending until thick. Divide evenly between glasses, garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately.
