Ingredients

Compliments Original Complete Pancake & Waffle Mix (or Compliments Buttermilk Complete Pancake & Waffle Mix)
250 mL
3/4 cup
peeled, finely diced apple
175 mL
3 tbsp
hemp seeds
45 mL
1 1/2 tsp
ground cinnamon
7 mL
1 tsp
vanilla extract
5 mL
1/8 tsp
nutmeg
0.5 mL

Method

Step 1

In a bowl, use a whisk to mix together pancake mix and 2/3 cup (150 mL) water until smooth.

Step 2

Stir in apple, hemp seeds, cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg.

Step 3

Cook pancakes in skillet according to package directions. Serve with butter and maple syrup, if desired.

Tips

For gluten-free pancakes, use Compliments Gluten-Free Pancake & Waffle Mix. Mix batter according to package directions. For every 1 cup (250 mL) of mixed gluten-free batter, use recipe's ingredient add-ins.
