1 cup (250 mL) Compliments Original Complete Pancake & Waffle Mix (or Compliments Buttermilk Complete Pancake & Waffle Mix)

3/4 cup (175 mL) peeled, finely diced apple

3 tbsp (45 mL) hemp seeds

1 1/2 tsp (7 mL) ground cinnamon
-
1 tsp (5 mL) vanilla extract
-
1/8 tsp (0.5 mL) nutmeg
Method
- In a bowl, use a whisk to mix together pancake mix and 2/3 cup (150 mL) water until smooth.
- Stir in apple, hemp seeds, cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg.
- Cook pancakes in skillet according to package directions. Serve with butter and maple syrup, if desired.
Tip:
- For gluten-free pancakes, use Compliments Gluten-Free Pancake & Waffle Mix. Mix batter according to package directions. For every 1 cup (250 mL) of mixed gluten free batter, use recipe's ingredient add-ins.
