Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups shredded aged Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/3 cup cream cheese, room temperature
  • 3 tbsp sour cream
  • 2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup finely diced Granny Smith apple, skin on
  • 1/2 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 16 large celery stalks

Method

  1. Combine 1 cup (250 mL) of the Cheddar with cream cheese, sour cream and Worcestershire in a food processor. Add salt and pepper, process until smooth and transfer to a bowl.
  2. Toss diced apple in lemon juice. Using a spatula, mix into cheese spread along with parsley and remaining cheddar. Taste and adjust seasoning, if necessary. Garnish with celery leaves, if desired. Serve immediately with celery sticks, or cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until needed.
